We have seen the Peso strengthen against the Dollar in recent weeks but despite that, commodities are still expensive, gas prices are up, millions live in poverty, Filipinos escape in droves seeking better lives elsewhere, and it still is not simply enough to have a job to survive.

And though it has been a challenging couple of years for me, I am still thankful that I am not out on the street, I am able to eat out when I want and manage to take occasional trips and hang out with the Jengs, and well still afford some of life's little luxuries.

Like a number of Filipinos I have discovered how to make a living off the internet, what started as a simple hobby blogging has turned into a full time home based job as an internet marketing consultant who drives traffic to websites. Linking Strategy for Social Networking Sites

Do you have a blog account, a multiply account or any other type of online presence via a free social networking service, like Friendster?

Many people do not realize that the best way to increase traffic to your site is through one simple strategy... increasing the number of links to your website. Yes it is that simple, too simple that it is often overlooked by most bloggers, web enthusiasts and seasoned internet marketers. Links allow people to find your site, this way old friends can find you if you happen to have a link of sites of your friends and contacts. It is also a great way of expanding your network.

One of the best features that Multiply has, and is underutilized is its linking feature. Where you can create a link to your favorite sites or favorite profiles.

It is easy to do. Follow these simple steps.

1. While on your main page, click the +Post icon on the upper right portion of your page.

2. Next, you will be asked what it is you want to post, select LINK, which is the second icon from the right.

3. On the next page your will be prompted to ad the link to page you wish to link to, an example of a URL is this, http://30snew20s.multiply.com, that is a URL to my main profile page on multiply, each one of us has that unique URL. Enter the URL of the page you want to link to.

4. On the next page you will be prompted for other details such as:

  a. Title - this refers to the title of the link you are adding, using the example of my URL earlier, you can simply enter in the title my name which is "Roy Sencio"

   b. Description - this is a brief description of the link, this is the phrase that usually appears when you mouse over the link or point your mouse on the link, using the example above, you can maybe enter in this space "Roy Sencio's Multiply Profile"

   c. Tag - is simply a word or phrase that acts as a category for that link, so using the example again above, you can use as a tag "Friends on Multiply" or simply, "Friends"

5. After that, click Save & Publish and that link will immediately be added to your main profile page.

What are the effects of doing this?
1. You increase traffic and visitors coming from other profiles, or websites, hence increasing your network, hook up with old friends and well, make new contacts.

2. It is important what "Title" you indicate, because there are plenty of links pointing to your profile for example, and the title used for these links is your full name, the effect is... whenever someone searches for your using your name on a search engine, your profile will be quickly and easily found.

I hope you found this helpful, maybe you can actually also create that link to my multiply profile.

Please forward this to all of your friends who are on multiply or who are on some sort of social networking site that allows linking. You would be surprised with the amount of traffic you can get in this manner. Again I reiterate, the more links back to your site, the more people can visit your profile.

niches and products to sell. These can be worthwhile investments
too, if you have the money. The information they provide is not
guarded and top secret, it is something you can actually find 
out on your own, if you know how and where to look. But if 
convenience is what you are after, you can invest in software
that does this job for you, and shortens the research process.

So you want to increase website traffic? Your site is so lonely without visitors.

You are almost there, I am making finishing touches on my most recent ebook that shows a webmaster or website owner how to bring traffic to their site. results: check out the site ranked number 1 on the first page

4.  affiliate elite free report

results: check out the site ranked number 2 on the first page

5.  affiliate elite questions  

results: check out the site ranked number 6 on the first page And of course it gets ranked number 1 on the first page for the website name which is Affiliate Elite Online, that is no big deal though.

Not bad really for a 27 day old site, that I had spent working on, cumulatively just about 24 hours of work.

So anybody doing a search on any of those keywords will find that website and increase its chances of getting traffic to the website. If the viewer clicks the link on the search results page, then the user is brought to a specific page on my website.

Do you see what sort of potential a well optimized site can have for your business?

What if you had a website that was well optimized for keywords that are related to your business, lets say your website is about ladies fashion bags, and when someone searches for "ladies fashion bags" on a search engine, your web page/website is listed, lets say number 3.

The weekend is again upon, aren’t you glad to finally get your mind of work and spend time at home, or on a new hobby, or doing something different… heck thinking of something different other than the usual work related thoughts is good enough for me.

I realize I haven’t been posting much lately, the past couple of weeks have been a bit crazy. It is a good kind of busy though when you hear the ka-ching… cash registers going off in the background; all the time.

But now that I have finally found the time to blog, I’d like to tell you about one key factor that most business owners overlook, and these days it is a necessary component that can mean a business’ success or failure.

Back in the old days, having a good business simply meant having a good product or service that is well priced, promoting it well, having a good location or distribution network, and having a good market that patronizes your products and services.

In my fifteen years in advertising and marketing other people’s brands, I’ve thought up all sorts of ads and campaigns to help my clients get new business, get new customers. The primary reason they did that is… no matter what sort of industry you are in, no matter what kind of business or service you sell, the absolute fact is, you will always lose a percentage of your customers; you lose them to competition; you lose them because of some sort of disappointment; you lose them because they probably moved to another town, another city.

Heck, bottom line is, on a regular basis, you lose customers for a myriad of reasons, and because of that fact business owners had to constantly advertise, or constantly had to have some marketing campaign going. Luckily for me that need for advertising has kept me around all these years… but that is not what this blog is about.

Bootleg Gold, 80s Music and Great Niches at Internet Marketing With Roy Sencio

I hope everyones enjoying their weekend!

Just a couple of nights back, the band and I got invited to play for a party sponsored by a radio station. For those who dont know I play guitar for a band which does cover songs of the 80s. It really wasnt a difficult choice most of the guys in not all, grew up in the 80s and are familiar with all these songs songs that we listened to on the charts back in the day, and songs that you hardly hear on todays radio or hear a band playing. Rather ironic considering that all of us have had past successes in other bands doing original material.

The event? The 2nd Anniversary party for Bootleg Gold; its a 3 hour classic rock radio show that airs Fridays at 4PM over Y101, and has proven to have a strong following; if its 2 year run time is not proof enough that it has established its niche, the huge crowd that came to the party, by invitation only, should put doubts to rest.

We were just fronting for the main act though, a classic rock band from Manila who came in the genres image the way they were dressed and all I felt like I was in Woodstock in the 60s.

A few days before the event, the producers of the show were asking us if we could play a 70s song, in a sort of segue into the main act, which I brought up with the guys who were adamant about not doing the song, because it would be totally off; when all of the songs on the set list are 80s then suddenly you cap off with a Led Zep. I have nothing against the song or the band they were asking us to cover, in fact I have much respect for the band and was open to the idea of playing the song, but the rest of the guys did have a point. We are an 80s cover band, and we will have to keep with the positioning, if only to reinforce the image and further establish ourselves in that niche.

Sometimes, even if you feel you have found a good niche, you still are tempted to try to make adjustments to please another set of customers, and tweak a product further which only ruins the product because your tweaking to please an added small percentage of people who were not your primary target in the first place, caused you to lose out on your captured audience.

Internet Marketing For Direct Response and Accountable Advertising

I had the opportunity of sitting down with some friends last night, these guys are my hangout and travel buddies; though I have not been out with them in a while, and have missed a few sojourns on account of my busy weekend schedule.

One of them is an advertising agency insider and she confirmed what I had long suspected, but before I get into that, let me tell you what she mentioned. Advertisers are spending less and less on traditional advertising mediums such as newspapers or TV, and are spending more on other below the line activities and events that are of a direct response nature like maybe direct marketing or events. In fact she states that of an advertisers marketing budget 25% actually goes into traditional media with the huge 75% into below the line endeavors.

Below the line is a reference to advertising techniques that are less conventional than the usual channels of advertising like TV, radio, print, etc. Below the line activities typically focus on direct means of communication, most commonly direct mail and e-mail, often using highly targeted lists of names to maximize response rates.

As early as 1997 I had already been reading about target marketing and was already a practitioner of such; and already back then it was known that the old we have it all for everyone marketing model would soon be replaced by the I have these for the type of people that are into these type of marketing.
